the snow wall

A few weeks ago when it snowed heavily we decided to create a snow wall at about midnight. Here it is in all its glory. Sadly by the time we woke up the next morning some bastard/bastards had knocked it down. And yes, I had to censor one of the images because Josh's arse was hanging out.

We found one of these old Jones CS sowing machines in a charity shop in Winchester yesterday and decided to bring it home :) Its very pretty and works a lot better than the useless electric one I have so we have been using it to make some cushions and other bits for the stall on sunday. We think its from the early 20s, but all still in working order.

We are going to be at the Winchester Art Market this Sunday selling a mix of prints, photos, posters and nice fabric things. Hopefully it will be a good day and not to wet and windy!

Anyone in Winchester should come along and have a look. We went to look round at the one last month and there is lots to see and a good variety of work.

Will try and get some pix to post after the event.

The Market on Sunday went really well, much better than we had anticipated! There was a bit of a slow start but by the end of the day we were very happy with the amount of work we were able to sell, and we met many interesting people along the way. Kat did a great job of explaining the work and engaging with everyone who dropped by. If we get the chance hopefully we will be back again later on in the year, I only hope it will be as fun as this one. It was a great space and we'd like to thank Central Reservation for having us along.

Brighton Zine Fest - By Josh

Today we headed over to the Brighton Zine Fest with a few quickly thrown together zines looking to get inspired by some great work. We sold a few copies of our "Black and White" zine (see pics in the last post) and Kat's "The physicians tale" (pics to come).

Some of these pics don't do the zines justice. Shebangs was really awesome and well put together. It had some rad illustration inside it and it was a delightful thing to hold. I wanted to buy it but didn't have any dosh left! I also loved the cover for 'salutations' and the photography inside was really nice too. Rocket Science had an awesome screen printed cover and the idea of the comic and the content was cool too! I ended up buying 'The Adventures of Geoff, Half-Shark-Half-Octopus' cos it was rad, it's really funny too!
